I have been a home baker from a very young age. I remember learning alongside my mother in her kitchen how to bake her chocolate chip cookies, rainbow cupcakes, flan, and tiramisu. Being a baker has always been my dream job. My passion for baking is rooted in caring and serving others. I found ways to do that through volunteering, working as a barista, and pursuing leadership roles. I love to learn and explore new things - absorbing all that the world has to offer me.

Teaching is something I have always gravitated towards. Tutoring at CIELO, a non-profit organization in Olympia that supports Latinx, Indigenous, and immigrant communities taught me skills such as: adaptability, differentiated instruction and how to advocate for the community. Becoming a teaching artist at Olympia Family Theater created a broader sense of communication, collaboration, and empathy for me. After completing the Baking and Pastry Arts Certificate at South Puget Sound Community College, I decided to put a pause on school to continue practicing my skills and spend time working. When I go back to school, I am interested in student chemistry or business. I have served on SPSCCs’ student government for the last year and half as the Senator of Communications and ASB President.

Children are so curious about the world and love to learn. Learning can be hard, but when there is a nurturing and supportive teacher to guide them, they can learn to make their own choices with their developing skills. Cooking and baking have brought so much joy to my life and are a big piece that connects me to my cultures. Kids learning the fundamentals and exploring the world through cooking can only benefit them in the long run. My goal at Le Petit is to provide everyone with a safe space to learn from mistakes, ask questions, and have fun making a mess in the kitchen. Cooking can be more than survival, and I would love to inspire our students to explore their creativity through food.

​When I am not in the kitchen, I love making art and media, reading historical fiction and memoirs, watching movies and shows, playing videos, listening to music and going to concerts. Additionally, I like crafting and practice skills like drawing or coloring. I spend a lot of free time with my family, and we often eat dinner together, go on ice cream runs, or just sit and talk outside.
