Master the Brine: Seasonal Pickling
Ages: 18 +

Service Description
Ever wonder why some pickles stay crunchy while others lose their bite? Or how to get that perfect balance of tang, salt, and spice? Join us for Master the Brine, a hands-on workshop designed for adults who want to move beyond the grocery store shelf and dive into the art of artisanal preservation. In this class, we celebrate the local harvest. Using peak-season produce sourced from right here in the Pacific Northwest—think sun-ripened cucumbers, peppers, and green beans in the summer—you’ll learn the science and soul behind a perfect pickle. This isn't a lecture—it’s a party! We’ll start with a curated tasting board featuring various pickling styles paired with local cheeses to wake up your palate. Then, it’s "jars up" as you chop, pack, and pour your way to a custom collection of preserves. Take Home: Two 16oz jars of your own custom-brined seasonal produce and recipes to keep the pickling momentum going all year long.
